When you support an ethically motivated vegan restaurant like Rise Above, not only are you helping us to achieve our ethical goals, but you also help us provide fulfilling jobs to our staff. Here is our server Kelsey in her own words: "I've been vegan for 4 years now, for the animals and for the environment. Sometimes it's hard to believe that you can make a difference- But it's so important to be aware of the impact that you make when you spend your money. In a consumer society, every dollar is like a ballot, supporting the good and or harm that your purchase does. It's a great form of activism to, every day, vote for the minimisation of damage done to the earth and its creatures. It's also great to find that your quality of life stays the same. I still enjoy what matters to me the same- art, music, laughing, and absolutely what I eat. I encourage everyone to try their best to tread lightly, and to buy things with awareness and compassion!"
